Janelle Monáe - "PrimeTime" (Feat. Miguel)

Dillon Cooper - "State of Elevation"

Fans of NYC rap and artists like Joey Bada$$ and Big L are gonna fall in love with 20-year old Brooklyn native Dillon Cooper. His lyrics, style, and flow embodies everything that we love about NYC rap.

Like fellow NY rapper A$AP Rocky, Cooper is a big fan of fashion and pop culture, which he depicts in his video for "State of Elevation," rockin' several throwback NBA jerseys and snapbacks. Make no mistake, this kid has the potential to be the next big thing out of NY.

Just Blaze & Baauer - "Higher" (Feat. Jay Z)

Well this is pretty sweet. Not only do we have an awesome collab track from Just Blaze and Baauer, but the song also features Jay Z and now has an awesome video to go along with it. The video itself doesn't depict any of the artists though, instead it features a lot of sword fighting between drunk men and a group of young kids, all of whom know how to spar like trained warriors.

Earl Sweatshirt - "Sunday" (Feat. Frank Ocean)

After learning that Earl Sweatshirt dropped another track tonight from his upcoming Doris album, I was tempted to of course take a listen, but not post anything about it. I mean, the song does feature Frank Ocean so I felt inclined to post about it, but I had already posted so much about Earl and Doris that I felt it was maybe time to end the love affair.

However, this isn't the track to end the relationship. Because not only does Earl spit some dope verses, but Frank Ocean makes a very special appearance. Not special in the sense that him and Earl never collaborate, but special because Frank isn't singing on the song, but spitting out his own verses as well. If you take a close listen, you might catch Frank taking some shots at Chris Brown as well, which is always fun in my books.

Trinidad James - "10 PC Mild"

"Nigga, nigga, nigga, don't believe me just watch." It's been over 6 months since Trindad James introduced himself to the world with the unforgettable line "On Instagram straight flexin, popped a molly I'm sweatin, woo!"

While James' first mixtape Don't Be S.A.F.E. had the luxury of having a super addictive single like "All Gold Everything," his newest project 10 PC Mild is missing an anthem of its own. Regardless, 10 PC Mild has been highly anticipated amongst a number of rap fans, and James does bring in a variety of artists including Danny Brown, Gucci Mane, Travi$ Scott, Rich Homie Quan, and CyHi The Prynce.

Big Sean - "Control (HOF)" (Feat. Kendrick Lamar & Jay Electronica)

Big Sean's new album Hall of Fame is set to drop August 27th. Unfortunately, this great 7 minute long track will not be on the album. According to Sean, "Control (HOF)" won't make the cut for the album because of an extensive sample from producer No I.D.

I am excited for HOF, but I'm pretty disappointed this song won't be on it. Sean explained it best himself, the song is just 7 minutes of "straight rap." Not just rap, but excellent rap at that, especially from Kendrick who not only kills his verse, but calls out basically every name in the game: Drake, A$AP Rocky, Wale, J. Cole, and Mac Miller just to name a few!

Foxes - "Youth"

Louisa Rose Allen, better known as Foxes, has been gaining popularity ever since her first EP Warrior dropped in May 2012. Although I'm jumping on the train a little late, I'm just thankful I found her when I did. Her vocal range is a breath of fresh air, and her new video for her single "Youths" makes me want to leave behind the life I know, and just don some Mickey Mouse ears and join her crew of misfit youths.

SD - "New World Order" (Feat. Danny Brown)

It's probably best to start off with introductions. If you don't know SD, he is an up-and-coming rapper from Chicago who also happens to a part of Chief Keef's Glory Boyz Entertainment (GBE) crew. So you should now have a pretty basic idea of how this track should sound.

Well, actually you have no clue. Because Detroit's favorite molly-poppin, big blunt smokin' rapper Danny Brown steps up to the mic for one hell of a remix. Realistically, if you're a fan of either of these rapping styles, you will more than likely enjoy this song. If you just so happen to be one of those people who loves Sosa and Danny, well then you are in luck my friends. Enjoy.

SchoolBoy Q - "Collard Greens" (Feat. Kendrick Lamar)

If I ever had to imagine up a music video for Black Hippy rapper SchoolBoy Q, it would probably look something like his latest video for his single "Collard Greens." The video has Q and Kendrick Lamar partying with a few lady friends, nothing too out of the ordinary for rap videos. However, while watching this you might find yourself thinking your looking through a kaleidoscope, it's that trippy. Not only that, but I found it visually mesmerizing and entertaining, especially when Kendrick started rapping in spanish and when I randomly found Macklemore partying in the background.

Q hasn't released an official date for his upcoming album Oxymoron, but it's without a doubt one of the most anticipated albums of the year.

Drake - "Hold On, We're Going Home"

Drizzy just finished up with his OVO Festival in Toronto where he brought everyone in the rap game, from A$AP Rocky, Big Sean, and J. Cole, to powerhouse names like Jay Z, Eminem, and Nas. He's also only a few days removed from his recently leaked track "All Me" which was a banger that featured Big Sean.

Now he's back at it again, this time releasing "Hold On, We're Going Home" which will be the second official single off his upcoming album Nothing Was the Same, which is set to release September 17th.

The track has a smooth R&B feel to it that I'm really feeling. Although Drake is no stranger to singing, it seems to me like his signing has really improved. It also helps that the production of this song is incredibly smooth and sexy.

Big Sean - "Fire"

Detroit's own Big Sean has slowly been releasing tracks from his upcoming album Hall of Fame, which will be released August 27th. Sean decided to continue the trend today by dropping the video for his single "Fire." Although the song has no features, the video surprisingly features Amercia's favorite twerk star, Miley Cyrus.

However, this video has no twerking whatsoever, not even from Miley! Instead, it has Miley sexually posing on a block of lava (it's true), her silhouette against a pink flower, and her dressed in a fur coat while being engulfed by flames.

Sean went on Twitter and explained that he wanted Miley because like many of us, she is currently going through many personal evolutions. Regardless, I love seeing Miley and the track is pretty "Fire" if I do say so myself.
